Choose from a short break of 3 or 4 nights, a week or longer. Start days vary throughout the fleet so you can choose from a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday holiday. Our bases at Goytre (in South Wales) and Hilperton (near Bristol ) also have day-trip boats for hire for a taste of the canals or a special outing.

The canals and rivers serviced the industrial centres that form the heritage of Great Britain . In towns you therefore find they pass by the finest architecture and a wealth of historical treasures, often through the centre of towns and cities. As they meander their peaceful way to the next town the landscape dictates the route they take - sometimes following contours and in other areas locks, bridges, aqueducts and tunnels form the route of the canal.

Within our fleet of over 200 boats, UK Boat Hire have a choice of boat styles and layouts to suit groups from 2 to 12 people. [example layout] If you have been on a canal holiday before you may recognise the Alvechurch, Viking Afloat, Wessex and Red Line boats that make up the fleet.

Every home comfort has been considered so, when you take the helm of your boat you are fully prepared for a totally relaxing boat hire holiday. Central heating, hot & cold running water, full kitchen facilities, television, radio and bed linen are all included in the comprehensive inventory . Every guest has full instruction and demonstration of the boat and its equipment before leaving the marina and all newcomers are taught how to handle the boat and operate locks.

The controls on the boat are as simple as can be - start/stop, forward/reverse, left/right. A child could drive one of our boats - in fact, under supervision, they often do. Every one of our boats has on board a comprehensive manual and we supply expert help around the clock with a 24-hour emergency helpline.
